Dense Packed Advantages

1

Highly-efficient insulation for exterior walls.

2

Insulates better than the average fiberglass batt (R3.5-3.8 per inch).

3

Eliminates air flow through walls, making your home easier and cheaper to heat & cool.

4

Ensures complete coverage in your walls, ceiling or other cavity.

5

It's fire-resistant. Cellulose is primarily made from recycled newspaper and is treated with fire retardants.

6

It's rodent and pest resistant. Cellulose collapses upon itself, so they stay away as they can't maneuver through the material. It's also treated with Borox as an extra deterrent to pests.

Why Choose Cellulose?

Cellulose insulation consists of 80% recycled newspaper and 20% fire-retardant binders. It is widely used as a loose-fill or dense-packed form (blow-in). Cellulose insulation will help prevent drafts and sound proof your property.

Dense Packing is a powerful method of insulation. It is achieved by blowing cellulose into a wall or other cavity with air pressure, which allows it to build to an appropriate density. By using dense pack in wall cavities, it eliminates any gaps or cracks that may hide behind wires, plumbing and electrical boxes. It provides complete coverage and eliminates air flow, to provide premium comfort and sound proofing.

Batt insulation, while a great sound-proofing option, is notorious for having gaps & cracks, no matter how well it is installed. Any air flow within cavities is an exit point for heating & cooling energy, which means money lost.

Loose-Fill can be used to top-up existing insulation in attics. It acts like a blanket in your attic covering all gaps and cracks, and giving your home the energy-efficient boost it needs.
